1989 - 2019
When Dr. Wilhelm J. Koller founded SENSOTEC Optoelektronische Systeme GmbH in 1989, his goal was to develop automation technologies for the graphics industry, environmental technology, automation technology and industrial electronics.
A contact with the Swiss company Gallus AG, confronted him with the task of developing a technology that made it possible to detect weak-contrast register marks in the field of label printing.
Dr. Koller used his existing know-how in communications technology and flight guidance to equip the first machines with register controls from 1990. Since then, the technology has been consistently further developed and more than 1,000 label printing machines have now been equipped with SENSOTEC register controls.
Today, SENSOTEC Optoelektronische Systeme GmbH is one of the world's leading companies in the field of register control for the label printing industry, based in Braunschweig. The CEO, Thomas-Sebastian Neuerer, is now leading the company into its 30th anniversary with innovative solutions.
